Mail call and Ysolda love

Not much knitting, but a lot of yarn receiving.

These are from the Madelinetosh Magnolia Society Club. The first two are the intense shipments:

Verdigris
P1060346

Peacock Plume
P1060350

And these are the pale shipments:

Absinthe
P1060342

Featherwise
P1060345

and that's not all ...

Here's the June Year in Color (I think) shipment from Sundara:

P1060339

2 skeins of Crushed Cherries in Fingering Silky Merino.

I also have been smitten with a few of Ysolda Teague's patterns the past few days. This morning I bought the patterns for Damson and the Vine Yoke Cardigan. Both are just amazingly beautiful, and I trust her well-written patterns to shepherd me through to the finish line, unlike the many other WIPs I have lying around (her Ishbel was one of the only projects I've finished this year so far).

P1060354

I've got a number of sock yarns that would do Damson well, but I'm fixated on the greyish-brown color for the Vine Yoke Cardigan. I've got 4 skeins of Malabrigo worsted in Pearl Ten (cue heavenly choir), which is of course nowhere near enough for a cardigan for me. I'm thinking about picking up a few more skeins online, but am I tempting the dye-lot gods? I'm thinking the cabling up top and around the sleeves will help hide any discrepancies. Right?

I think you'd be OK because the shirt from garter to cable would hide the difference. You might need a bit extra yarn so that you can do the different sections with the different dye lots. I'm slightly biased as I would love to see this cardi knit in Pearl Ten Malabrigo - I love that colour.

Gorgeous new yarns too - all beautiful but I think I like Wren the best. I'm hugely envious :D

I love MadTosh yarns, those are gorgeous! I was not aware that the new Twist was up...must get that cardigan pattern, it is really cute. I think it would be really cozy knit up in Malabrigo.
