That's it there, all folded up, and next to it is how much yarn I still have to knit. It's fine, b/c I had wanted it to be a longer, skinnier scarf anyway. But I had no idea it was going to be this long. I'll do a proper pic once it's done.
Somehow I was inspired to pick up the Whisper Cardigan again, and I'm so glad I did, b/c it's not nearly as difficult as I thought it was going to be. I decided that that was enough arm and began on the back. Easy! It's flying by now that I'm not using the 12-inch circ, but of course I'll have to once I get to the other sleeve.
Yup, dark yarn and my horrid photo skills do not make for interesting knitting-blog shots. The ADD Knitter is knitting the Featherweight Cardigan right now, which is also by designer Hannah Fettig, and sums up the love and devotion that I feel for this WIP -- it's such a wearable piece, but only if I can finish it ...
I decided to celebrate my successful monthlong stash diet by, you guessed it, buying some yarn. The yarn store where I sometimes work was having a Fourth of July sale, so yesterday I stopped in and finally gave in to my Malabrigo lust. I passed up the bright blue worsted that I wanted and found the most perfect gray(ish) ever, Pearl Ten.
Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The most incredible, complex mix of steel, dusty plum and bruised eggplant. Just amazing.
And because I'm still harboring fantasies of being able to knit the whisper or Featherweight in only two skeins of Malabrigo lace, I nabbed some Sunset. Mmmmmmm.
I've also received the latest Magnolia Society shipment, two skeins of worsted in the colors Shoemaker and Foxglove.
I think I might trade the Shoemaker but hang on to the Foxglove, after seeing some of it knit up nicely on Ravelry.

Hi Leah, The blue malabrigo I bought in new York is called Marine. It is lovely. I am totally smitten with Pearl Ten though. It is just as amazing as you describe it. I am totally envious.
